Watch the "Little" things! They Might be What Holds your Business Up!
Have you spent a lot of time and/or money building a truly great website for your business? Do you think it's safe? Do you trust your host to take care of you? You'd better think again!
I own a website called BusyBeeSafelist. I ran it for several years and reached more than 2500 active members with the safelist and 3500 members for the community forums. Then, it happened. My wonderful host for all the time I'd owned the list and several different servers suddenly sold out and failed to inform me. Now, I must give him the benefit of the doubt; perhaps for some weird reason my spam filters decided to munch his email to me... but that's not the issue. The new owner gave me very little notice - I had computer challenges and didn't check my email for a couple of days, but when I did, I sent my payment to him, even though I'd already paid my previous host, but before he noticed I'd paid, he deleted my site and my ENTIRE database. Guess what else he deleted? Tar.gz... doom... doom... doom...
For those of you who do not know what tar.gz is, it is the regular and up-to-date backup file for the database that is kept on the server. If anything ever goes wrong, you load up tar.gz and get almost everything back... except when that file gets deleted, too. So, if you own a website, make sure you download all the WHOLE site, and especially the backup files if you're running a database of any kind. You can store the files on a CD if you need the space on your computer, but you MUST have those files.
In my case, I DID have the whole site downloaded, but the latest tar.gz file was from 2005 - which is a total disaster for a member database, as people come and go on a regular basis in any member driven organization. I had such good service for so long that I became complacent and left the updates on my server, where I knew I could access them anytime even if it meant having to contact my host via email or phone. That complacency was a disaster for my business.
Always make sure you have ALL the LATEST files for your website stored on your own computer or CD. It could save your business!
Now, there is a happy ending to my disaster. Every challenge also has its benefits. I now have a brand new host who specializes in safelist hosting, a brand new, state-of-the-art script, and a fantastic new affiliate plan for my business.
What this should tell YOU is, protect YOUR business and save your important files NOW. Make a backup of everything you do. Copy and save your files as you create them! Make sure your host is easy to contact and make sure your accounts are up-to-date.

Work From Home... Really...
I'm sure a lot of people who read this will have already seen the hundreds, if not thousands of spam emails offering so-called "hot" jobs.
My advice on any of these is to delete them without even opening them (as you should do with ALL spam - don't encourage them!)
The vast majority of online "job" opportunities are really nothing more than scams designed to take your money, but the so-called "jobs" are usually little more than virtual envelope-stuffing programs where you are given ads to post on sites YOU have to find and where you are paid, not for the number of ads you post, but on each sale the ad you post actually generates.
Guess how much most people are going to make with these kinds of programs? Zero! No... that's not correct... It's actually zero MINUS the amount you paid to get that "job" in the first place!
Beware of ads that offer you a job for a price! Most of them are posted by suckers... I mean, people... who were sucked in by the very ad that has caught your attention. They will get their "wage" when you click on the ad they have posted and pay the fee.
You can find a great job via the internet, but you have to be careful and you have to know where to look. A high quality job bank usually offers secure membership for a very low, one time fee, and can be an amazing source of almost every kind of job you can think of.
Jobs in business, clerical, customer service, engineering, programming, finance, graphic art, human resource, sales and marketing, transcription, web design, writing and more are all possible to do from home via the internet in this modern world.
It's no longer necessary to try to juggle between commuting to work every day and trying to raise a family at home. You can now stay home with an excellent job WHILE raising a family.
Do a little digging before joining just any job bank. Some will sadly disappoint you, as you'll find they make their money selling ad space to pyramid scams, chain letters, commercial ads disguised as job offers, and other outrageous schemes and claims.
Find a company that specializes in telecommuting and work from home jobs, and that screens all postings to ensure that only genuine, high quality, professional and up-to-date job listings are included.
If you are one of the many who have spent any time looking for a job online, you've likely spent most of that time clicking off hype, poor offers and scams. Unfortunately, that IS the norm, but it doesn't have to be that way.
Job hunting on the internet can be very rewarding when you find the right job bank. It's not necessary to jump at the very first job that catches your eye, either! In this remarkable new online world, there are thousands and thousands of opportunities becoming available every day.
You can join a good job bank, sign up for their newsletter, and take your time to find the job you REALLY want and KNOW you will enjoy.
One very good telecommuting resource for work at home jobs is HomeJobStop. They offer one of the rare job boards that successfully maintains a support-based structure completely free of commercial advertising. They do not accept paid ads on their job board, nor do they make outrageous claims, nor do they permit outrageous claims to enter their job bank. This is exactly the kind of listing site you should be looking for.
When job hunting online, the bottom line is, take your time and enjoy your search. Find a job you will LOVE, not a J.O.B. that makes you a slave to misery. There's nothing wrong with working for someone else - contrary to popular belief, even those of us who are "self-employed" are working for someone else. Our boss' name is Customer!
The main thing is that whether your boss is Mr. Jones or Ms. Customer, you spend a great deal of time in this life working to earn a living. Love what you do and have a great life! Right here, right on this site, right in front of you, could be exactly what you're looking for! Then perhaps, you, too, could enjoy a view like I have, living where you want!
What to do when the Road gets Rough...
There's nothing more exhilarating in the network marketing world than finding a great company with a great product and compensation plan that you can really get excited about, and that everyone you talk to seems to get excited about, too!
When you hit the right combination, it can be like you just came off a cart track onto a brand new superhighway, with brand new, wall to wall blacktop and no one in your lane! Man, you can just hit the gas and cruise, cruise, cruise! It's times like those when it seems you can call up anyone, and no one says, "No!" In fact, you can pick up that phone, and dial in the biggest names on the planet, and you're on such an adrenaline rush that they just get carried away with you, and you don't even stop to wonder if they wonder who you are!
I've been there...
The question is, what are you going to do when that road gets rough?
It IS going to happen. Somewhere along the line, you're going to hit a bump that's going to throw you around a bit, and if you're not careful, it could throw you right off the road!
One the Trans Canada Highway, as you go across Saskatchewan, they have something called, "Correction Lines." If you've never come across them, all I can tell you is, don't drive across Saskatchewan when you're really tired, or you'll find out really fast what a correction line is! You see, the highway doesn't just go straight across at the same latitude. In order to make it go where they wanted it to go without running it at an angle across all those gorgeous wheat and canola fields, the engineers ran the highway straight east and west for hundreds of miles, then put in a ninety degree bend, a few miles off north-south highway, then another ninety degree bend. If you weren't paying attention, the road got REALLY rough, really fast, as you ran off into a farmer's field at cruising speed!
In network marketing, the roads can be really nice and smooth for a long time, but you have to pay attention for the correction lines! Don't get caught asleep at the wheel, or you could lose entire downlines as someone takes them off in another direction!
Sometimes, when all is going really well, and the road is really smooth, you start feeling like you can just drive and drive and drive, forever. You know where you're going, and man, if you just stay at that wheel a little bit longer, you're going to get so much closer so much faster... then bang! When you're least expecting it, the radiator finally goes dry, and the engine throws a rod out through the side of the block! You forgot to stop at the rest stops to check everything over, and you got burned out. Take time to rest! It's not safe to travel long distances with no rest, either for yourself, or for those riding with you.
No matter how careful you are, and no matter how much you're paying attention, the road sometimes just gets too rough to travel, any more. You find it not only filled with potholes, but it's covered up with rocks, trees and debris of every description. When that happens, you need to remember that the road is not yours. You are traveling on the road, but you're not responsible for its upkeep. In fact, it's highly unlikely that you have the equipment necessary for its upkeep!
Network marketing is a fantastic road to be traveling on, but sometimes the owners don't maintain that road, and it falls into ruin. Sometimes it gets washed out so badly, that it's simply too far gone to be reasonably repaired. When that happens, it's time to turn around and look for a new road that will get you where you want to go.
In more than thirty years of network marketing, I've been on my share of good roads, and have run into the end of many. Some have been shorter than others, and some have ended spectacularly!
The great news is, there is always a new road somewhere, and the people are always great! There are always others traveling the same roads you are, and the comradery is sweet and powerful. The very nature of network marketing is friends traveling together in the same caravan, helping one another reach their destination safely! I recommend it highly! Oh... but do watch out for the rough spots!
My Little Circle of 'Fiends'...
I wonder how often we chick what we've typed in a message, forum, subject lone or thread to, see that we haven't maid any typing eros or grammatical errors; along the way! From time to time, for example, I send out friend invitations to people on a social network I belong to, inviting them to join my little circle of friends. I wonder how many actually received a hastily written invitation from me to join my "little circle of fiends?" lol! What a difference one little letter can make! How would you react to such an invitation? Would you notice? Would it matter to you?
Social Networking Spells Success
Can Social Networking bring you success? In fact, is it even ethical to put "Success" and "Social Networking" in the same sentence? Isn't that like using your friends?
Well... The answer might surprise you! Every day, in the real world, people are "doing" social networking without even realizing it! And why do you think it's called networking, anyway?
HelloHello has taken the whole concept of social networking to the next level. Social Networking on line is supposed to be a fun way for friends to meet and interact in this busy 21st century world, but it has become a magnet for unethical or desperate would be entrepeneurs who try to spam their way into a bigger bank account. HelloHello makes it possible to earn a great income simply BY meeting and visiting with friends online!
In the little radio blog below is a short audio message explaining how HelloHello works and how you, too, can enjoy all the benefits of social networking without continuously looking at your friends as your bottom line. Social Networking should be FUN! It should be SOCIAL and NETworking! Remember that your friends are part of your network not your netWORK!
